November 1, 2013

B: oatmeal, brown sugar, 1/2 banana, 6 almonds, splash of almond milk
S: 1 apple, baby carrots
coffee with soy milk
L: spring greens, kabocha, 1 cucumber, beet
(we had a community cup event. go orange! had to resist these free delicious greek wraps that >100 people around me ate...oooh that was hard)
S: 6 cashews
1 asian pear
D: Margaret's birthday dinner at Siam Nara
- I ordered a dish called 'Rama', what I thought was a healthy dish: fried tofu + steamed brocooli and other veggies + brown rice in a peanut sauce. It was one of the few dishes listed that did not contain coconut milk. I later looked it up to find out that the peanut sauce recipe seems to almost always call for coconut milk :(. Nooooo! It was pretty good though.
Dess: Chantilly Berry cake from Whole Foods - 1 slice = 311 calories. probably had like 1.5 x 311 = 466 calories. Tasted delicious though, everyone loved it.

This week has been very dessert-heavy! On the bright side, I think I've learned to choose what/how I like to have my indulgences, and that's been helpful. For example, I chose to forgo halloween candy b/c I knew I enjoy indulging in baked goods more. Will eat cleaner this weekend.

Exercise: 60 min Bodycombat (kicked butt in class today, which felt awesome)
